On Wednesday, August 27, 2025, from 9 to 11 a.m. or 4 to 6 p.m., families will have the chance to meet teachers, step inside state of the art classrooms, and experience the kind of learning that makes science, technology, engineering, and math come alive. This past Tuesday, our incredible Jerome STEM teachers had the amazing opportunity to learn from none other than Steve Spangler of Steve Spangler Science! Steve flew in to lead an engaging, hands-on STEM training that focused on creating meaningful, lasting experiences for both students and their families. From jaw-dropping experiments to practical strategies for sparking curiosity, our teachers were immersed in activities designed to inspire a love of science and learning. The room was buzzing with excitement, collaboration, and creative energy. Our dedicated Jerome teachers walked away with a wealth of literacy knowledge after today’s LETRS workshop at the Castle Museum. The training focused on equipping educators with research-based strategies that will play a huge role in advancing our curriculum and strengthening how reading is taught in every classroom.

By deepening their understanding of how students learn to read, our teachers are gaining powerful tools to support every student's literacy journey, laying the foundation for a lifetime of learning success.
